Who This Plan Is For – You’re new to triathlon and have selected the Sprint Triathlon as your first race. No prerequisite training is required. Training sessions are built around both rate of Perceived Effort (RPE) and/or Heart Rate Structured Sessions.
You’ll succeed with this plan through its 3/1 structured approach. Three weeks load with one-week recovery. You’ll begin with just under 3hrs in week one, with a max of 5hrs of weekly training.
Within this 16-week training plan, you’ll have:
24 Strength Training Sessions (13:45 HRS) – Specifically designed for the first-time triathlete.
32 Swim Sessions (11:42 HRS) - focusing on drills and techniques with video instruction
34 Bike Sessions (21:10HRS) with RPE and Heart Rate Structured Sessions.
32 Walk/Run Sessions (15:00 HRS), also with RPE and Heart Rate Structured Sessions.
