"LIFESTYLE BEGINNER"  - 24 WK - Olympic Triathlon Training (Couch To Olympic Triathlon + Strength Training for the Beginner Triathlete)

Who This Plan Is For – You’re either new to triathlon and have selected the Olympic Triathlon as your first race, you’ve completed a Sprint Triathlon and are now ready for the Olympic distance, or you want to complete both the Sprint and Olympic distances within the same training schedule. No prerequisite training is required. Training sessions are built around both rate of Perceived Effort (RPE) and Heart Rate Structure Sessions.

 

You’ll succeed with this plan through its 3/1 structured approach. Three weeks load with one-week recovery. You’ll begin with just under 3hrs in week one, with a max of 7hrs of weekly training. Within this 24-week training plan, you’ll have the following:

  • 32 Strength Training Sessions (18:25 HRS)  – Specifically designed for the beginning triathlete.

  • 80 Swim Sessions (24:26 HRS) - focusing on drills and techniques with video instruction

  • 63 Bike Sessions (45:35HRS)  with RPE and Heart Rate Structured Sessions.

  • 63 Walk/Run Sessions (35:05 HRS), also with RPE and Heart Rate Structured Sessions.

  • The option to include both the Sprint and Olympic distances within the same 24 weeks of training.
